Workshop week!!! Lets hope we have beautiful weather all week! I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at Ourimbah.

An oversight was made at the athletics carnival when adding up the points for senior champion. It turns out that Adam Davis is in fact senior champion with Henry Ridge. This is very exciting news for Adam and very exciting news for Distance Ed. We certainly have no shortage of talented athletes! Congratulations Adam!

Renae has done some great work as part of her Rigby Reader Unit, ÔBobby the MonsterÕ. She has created this monster using lots of different materials.

Well done Renae!

Caitlin Myors also did some very creative work to go with her reader, ÔHappy HamburgerÕ.

IÕll be lining up for one of these half price happy hamburgers Caitlin!

We had lots of students come to Joke club last Thursday. There were some very funny jokes shared. There will be no clubs this week due to the workshop but week 6 is music club. We have many talented musicians amongst us and I am looking forward to hearing a few recitals on air.

Father TimÕs scripture group will be taken by Father Brian in Week 6 and 7. The same program will be followed.

The Reading Recovery workshop which had been scheduled for the 8th September with Wendy Everitt has been cancelled. If anyone was particularly interested in reading recovery training or would like additional information, I can make enquiries into what the options might be.

Thankyou to everyone who returned their nomination forms for the Enngonia Technology camp. We have 28 students for DE attending which is fantastic. There are no guarantees that the students will be in all of the groups they nominated as their preferences but they will be in at least 1 of their first choices. The students will participate in 3-4 different activities over the 3 days.

The DEC is currently a hive of activity as we prepare for workshop.

See you there!

Regards,

Pip Kearney
